Training and Capacity Building
-

Problem statement
There is a limited understanding of evolving social science capability needs, including skills required for new data assets, technologies, and methodologies constraining our ability to plan and deliver capacity-building programs. This jeopardises the future quality and relevance of social science research.
-

SSRIN response
This project component develops a clear framework that identifies the skills required for social research into the future and identifies current training gaps.
It will also design and deliver new training courses that demonstrate how skills gaps can be addressed.
-

Intended longer-term outcomes
Relevant and forward-looking planning for social science skills and effective researcher capability development ensuring social researchers are equipped to harness evolving data and technologies.
